Your Favorite Picnic Tables? Not Going Anywhere
Dear Daleview Members,
While voting continues (please vote now if you haven’t yet), we strive to keep our community informed and address new and existing questions and concerns. What has stood out in the outpouring of support and suggestions from members is a deep and abiding connection to our picnic tables.
Are the picnic tables going away? Are we only getting chaise lounges or octagonal tables?
No, we are not getting rid of our beloved picnic tables. They have been a mainstay of our community and we would never dream of losing them for both dining and general hanging out spaces. The artist rendering is exactly that … a rendering. Fine details like tables and chairs in the drawing are just placeholders and shown for scale and examples of what could be – in the eye of the Design Firm.
There are no picnic tables in the pictures of the new pool, are we not going to have picnic tables?
We will absolutely still have picnic tables. They were not in the renderings from our designer because the focus was on the shape and size of our new pool. We can move furniture around however we like, and since the area that currently has picnic tables will not change, we can still have picnic tables in the same place.
If there are no picnic tables, how will we be able to socialize with other families?
Since we are not getting rid of the picnic tables, Daleview members will still be able to sit with other families and socialize. They’ve long been a core part of our community and that’s not changing. The confusion likely comes from the design renderings, which don’t show picnic tables. That’s just because they’re conceptual illustrations meant to highlight the size and layout of the new pool – not every detail like chairs or tables. The placement of picnic tables is flexible, and since the current picnic area isn’t changing, we’ll still have the same space to set them up just like before (or even better!).
In short: picnic tables are staying. Promise.
Thanks,
Daleview Board and 2.0 Committee
