January 2025 Update
Greetings Daleview Community,
Since our last update just before Thanksgiving, the Daleview 2.0 Committee has continued to forge ahead with our efforts and we are excited to share a brief update on how things are progressing. We are excited that our scope and mission, which is, in essence, to deliver the best pool experience possible for our membership, is moving in a positive and productive fashion. As we have stated before, the existing pool is well past its expiration date and our committee of dedicated volunteers is working hard to create a pool that will serve the membership for generations to come.
Here is a look at the steps we’ve taken since our November update:
- Continued to meet with both an Engineering Firm and Land Use Attorney to best understand the full financial impact of bringing the greater pool grounds up to Code. Things such as Emergency Response access, ADA Compliance (e.g., including possibly an elevator), and other requirements will add substantial costs to any option we choose.
- The Finance team has continued its regular meetings to forecast how the new pool project will be funded, including a mix of loans, member dues, and assessments. As the Board has stated, we anticipate the overall Daleview 2.0 renovation to cost approximately $2–2.5 million, with that number to be adjusted depending on desired amenities, code requirements, and possible expansion of the pool.
- The Finance team has also met with a commercial lender to learn what our financing options are.
- The Communications team and members of the Board of Directors have started training on the new Daleview website, which has been built by MemberSplash. Before the new site is officially launched, we are learning more about the backend system and how to best utilize the website’s new functions and tools. We hope to officially launch the new Daleview site (which includes increased functionality for membership) in the coming weeks.
- Land and facility surveys (per county regulations) are being scheduled, with the first topographic survey slated for early February; a Natural Resources Inventory survey will be scheduled shortly thereafter.
- An engineering firm has provided us with several early concept drawings of what the new pool and grounds could look like, and we are providing those to two design+build firms for more formal mockups.
- We had an appraisal completed and now have an updated valuation of the property.
We remain on track to present options for the Daleview 2.0 renovation during the 2025 swim season. We will certainly need input then, but if you have any comments or questions in the meantime, please reach out to [email protected].
Thanks,
Daleview 2.0 Committee
