Answers to Questions We’re Hearing

Hello Daleview members,

As part of our Daleview 2.0 information tour, here’s the first of several emails answering commonly asked questions about the project.

Are the picnic tables going away? Are we only getting white chaise lounges?

NO, we are not getting rid of our beloved picnic tables. They have been a mainstay of our community and we would never dream of losing them for both dining and general hanging out spaces. The artist rendering is exactly that … a rendering. Fine details like tables and chairs in the drawing are just placeholders and shown for scale and examples of what could be – in the eye of the Design Firm.

Will new members have to pay the assessment?

YES, all future members who join Daleview will be contributing to the project as well. This is not just an assessment for current membership; it is a project to make Daleview sustainable for future generations and those who join at a later date will be supporting the effort.

What is the deal with the learn-to-swim area?

This new feature of the pool addresses the biggest request by membership from our survey last fall. Currently, the transition for kids from the baby pool to the main pool is a small set of stairs into 3 feet of water. There’s limited space for little swimmers to progress to the main pool without feeling overwhelmed and also forced into a smaller area of the pool by the stairs. By building in a larger, more kid- and family-friendly area of the pool, this provides a better transition area for kids as they progress as swimmers while also making a shallower area for adult members to hang out and socialize. The hope is to also expand our swim lesson programming for younger children.

Thanks,

Daleview 2.0 Committee
