November 2024 Update

Greetings Daleview community,

It has been a busy six or so weeks for the Daleview 2.0 Committee, and we are excited to share a brief status report on what we have been working on and how things are progressing. We last shared an update during the September member meeting, where we gave a general overview of our scope and mission, which was, in essence, to deliver the best pool experience possible for our membership. The existing pool is well past its expiration date and our committee of dedicated volunteers is working hard to create a pool that will serve the membership for generations to come.

Here is a look at the steps we’ve taken since our September member meeting update:

• Engaged with land use attorneys to see how the regulatory process with the county will work and what benefits an attorney would bring to our process
• The Communications team and members of the Board of Directors met with representatives and signed contracts with MemberSplash, which will be hosting our new Daleview website and membership platform. This should improve each system significantly, with no additional cost to the pool. More information on these transitions will be shared soon.
• The Finance team has met several times to start forecasting how the new pool project will be funded, including a mix of loans, member dues, and assessments
• We have hired an appraiser to provide a valuation of the property 
• We paid for a title report for the property, which provided us with historical documents that will be crucial when engaging with the county for permits and exceptions
• We’ve met with, and received a report from, an engineering firm that provided us with an overview of permitting and zoning requirements for potential improvements, including all the relevant easements and geological aspects of the property 
• We have begun talks with several pool-specific design+build firms and hope to select the firm that will create the vision of Daleview 2.0 in the near future. 

We are on track to present options for the Daleview 2.0 renovation during the 2025 swim season.  We will certainly need input then, but if you have any comments or questions in the meantime, please reach out to [email protected].
